The Art of Cultural Exchange - mapping Brazil/UK
This mapping exercise is part of the project The Art of Cultural Exchange | A Arte do Intercâmbio Cultural. Realised by Queen Mary University of London in association with Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, it proposes an investigation into cultural exchange as an act of translation, and will research the transformations sought through the exchange of artists, artistic production and artistic methodologies. We are looking for projects that have involved cultural exchanges between the UK and Brazil at any point during 2012 to 2016. If your project started before 2012 and/or is continuing after 2016, it can also be part of this research. In this survey, we are seeking to gather information about the arts disciplines involved, periods of activity, public engagement, as well as some of the achievements, opportunities opened up by the exchange and challenges faced by the project.
