This is the signup form for the next women/trans/queer only basic bike repair workshop. If you can't make this workshop and would like to be notified when we've set a date for the next one please email
johanna.bleecker@newhopecommunitybikes.com.
Please leave your name and at least one contact method. We will use this to remind you of the workshop a day or two before and follow up if you don't show. Don't forget to bring your own bike to the workshop if possible so you can practice working on it and leave with a tuned up bike!
If you have already registered but can no longer make the workshop, please email
info@newhopecommunitybikes.com or call the shop at (905)545-1991 and let us know.
Workshop info: November 7th 2017 6-9 PM
1422 Main St. E @ Kenilworth, Hamilton
$25, payable at the workshop by cash, debit, or credit
This workshop will cover basic bike parts and terminology, fixing a flat, adjusting brakes and gears, basic maintenance and diagnostics, safety checks, and any other topics of interest, time permitting. We ask that you bring your own bike if possible so that you can get practice working on it and leave with a tuned-up bike! If that's not possible, you can work on one of the shop bikes. The workshop is open to all ages and all women-identified persons, queer/trans/gender non conforming folk are welcome. The course will be taught by female mechanics in a supportive, fun atmosphere and there are usually baked goods present!
