FOUNDATION & CORE VALUES
It is surprising to most people that CRLS had not had a PTSO, PTO, or PTA in several years (approximately 10 years?).  The need to come together as an official PTSO has grown out of:
•The challenges of an expanding student population
•The lack of diversity and expansion of the teaching population
•The support for the individual efforts of parents, teachers, and students who have attempted to address several recurring and systemic concerns
•The belief in the ability to collectively problem-solve various (current, historic, and any future) issues, which continue to (or will) be raised in discussions among students, parents, teachers, and other community stakeholders (i.e., alumni, school administrators, school committee members, school system leaders, and community partners, etc.)
•A commitment to creating and facilitating structured and casual opportunities for continued dialogue, engagement, and empowerment of students, families, and all members of the school community  

MISSION
The PTSO@CRLS is a non-profit group of parents, teachers, and students committed to the continued growth and success of all members of our school community.  The goal of the group is to support CRLS students, and the school community as a whole, through increased opportunities for school and family interaction (i.e., discussion, engagement, and special events, etc.).

VISION
Contribute to the process of individual, organizational, and communal growth.  Help identify, address, and evaluate, areas of strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat, relevant to academic experience, life-long learning experience, and achievement of life success.

ACTIVITY
Although some occasional fundraising may be required, the objective of the organization is to build and strengthen the social network of students, parents, teachers, and administrators. The group will hold meetings to plan social events, host a community discussion series (with special guest speakers/facilitators), and maintain an online discussion board and social media sites.
