The 101 of Finding and Joining a Board
How do you find an organization and board that you want to join? What questions should you ask them? What should you know about yourself? Finish this session with a game plan that suits your interests.
Location:
East Side Enterprise Center
804 Margaret Street (at 7th Street), Saint Paul
Each session includes a light dinner (doors open at 5:30). First 30 participants receive a stipend of $50 for attending each session. Following sessions, you will have optional access to project staff to support you.
Preference is given to people of color who have an interest in Saint Paul specifically due to the focus of our project, however, we will fit in as many people as we can.

These sessions are provided as part of Board Repair’s project “Diversifying Neighborhood Organization Boards to Increase Effectiveness,” funded by James L. and John S. Knight Foundation.
Board Repair is an independent network organized by and for people of color to create a more effective nonprofit sector by increasing participation of people of color on boards and committees in the Twin Cities. We achieve our mission by collaborating with others to host gatherings, trainings, and group mentorship.
