“Each year, the WDCA shall bestow upon a worthy recipient, a Coach of the Year Award on an
annual basis.” (WDCA Bylaws)

This form serves to nominate worthy recipients for the 2016-17 Coach of the Year Award. A list of past recipients can be found on the WDCA website (http://wdca.org/about-the-wdca/wdca-history/coach-of-the-year). A coach may only receive this award every 5 years.

Please make your nomination for the WDCA Coach of the Year below by January 16, 2017.

We ask that you consider the following as you make your nomination:

- The coach must be a member in good standing of the WDCA.
- The coach exhibits a strong commitment to the educational value of debate.
- The coach exhibits a strong commitment to students of all levels and backgrounds.
- The coach exhibits a strong commitment to the WDCA organization and the ideals that it
serves to promote.
- The coach demonstrates a willingness to lend assistance to other debaters, coaches, and
tournament hosts and directors.
- The coach’s team had demonstrated reasonable success in WDCA sanctioned tournaments.
- The coach’s team members distinguish themselves in debate, attitude, and conduct.
