Through My Window: August Training Application
Through My Window is hosting an educator training at the UMass Center in downtown Springfield, MA on August 8-9, 2018.  Participants will leave ready to implement the Through My Window curriculum in their program or school.  

The training will run from 9 am - 4:30 pm on August 8, and 9 am - 4:30 pm on August 9.  You must attend both days of the training.  We will be providing 14 PDPs through Smith College.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.  

You must cover all of your own travel expenses.  A list of recommended hotels and negotiated rates will be emailed to accepted applicants.

Through My Window is excited to be hosting a FREE professional development workshop to formal and informal educators who work with grades 4-8.

What’s Through My Window?
Through My Window is a free multimedia engineering curriculum for grades 4-8 created by Smith College and Springfield Technical Community College.

What does the curriculum include?
The curriculum includes 2 middle-grade STEM mystery novels--Talk to Me and TimeTilter--with companion curriculum.  Engineering topics including artificial intelligence, engineering design, engineering ethics, materials engineering, and bioengineering and biomimicry are covered.

What will the training cover?
The training will cover all of the Through My Window curriculum resources, including the two novels, online learning modules, and a wide variety of offline enrichment activities.  Participants will leave prepared to implement in their classroom or site.  The hands-on interactive training will include plenty of time for participants to explore curriculum components as well as learn more about engineering education.

When is the training?
The training is two full days:  August 8th and 9th, 9 am - 4:30 pm on both days.
