Be Funny, Make Money with Nicholas Feitel (June)
Would you like to know how to make money doing comedy? Would you like to know how to even start considering it? In this one-day workshop, you will learn the things you need to have as a comedy professional, a writer or an actor, to start to present yourself to the industry. You will learn what representation is, what the differences are between different types of "rep", how casting directors do their jobs and how to network effectively. Most importantly, you will learn how to treat your career in comedy as a regular old job, treating it with the same diligence and systematic approach as if you had a boss yelling at you to do things and a bunch of employee manuals.

6/5 (Sunday)
12pm-3pm
Price: $60
Location: Studios 150 (150 W 46th Street, Floor 6, New York, NY)

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Nicholas Feitel has lived a fairly insane pre-30s life including such professions as: a modern dance critic for an LGBT newspaper, a post-production coordinator for documentary film, a pseudo reality-TV star, an artistic director of The Treehouse Theater, and, most recently, an actor. He also had the pleasure of collaborating a bit on Annie Baker's THE FLICK which won the Pulitzer Prize and is beginning a run in London at the National. In the last 14 months, he has booked 9 commercials, 2 television credits and a feature film. He made 100 percent of his income for 2015 through comedy-related pursuits (he knows, he checked his taxes). He can next be seen in the feature film FITS AND STARTS starring Wyatt Cenac, Maria Dizzia and Greta Lee and on television in HBO's DIVORCE. He has taught for the PIT, the Treehouse Theater, High5 and The Putney School.
