Nomination Process:
Q: Who can nominate a student?
A: Parents, Teachers, Staff, Counselors, Students
Q: What would the ideal candidate look like?
A: While grades are important, these awards seek to recognize those students who might not be
top-ranked in their class, but those who are altruistic people helping their school or community in
a way large or small through community service.
Q: Who is eligible?
A: Any 10th or 11th grade student who is planning on attending some form of post-
secondary education, whether it be trade school, a community college, or a 4-year university.
Q: Does a student have to be Latino/Hispanic to apply?
A: No! Students do no need to be Hispanic or Latino to apply to this program.
Q: Do I have to be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply for a scholarship?
A: No. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, Deferred Action for
Childhood Arrival (DACA), or eligible non-citizen (as defined by Federal Student Aid).

A: The student of the quarter will be selected by the LSP staff upon full review of all nominating forms. Selected students will be honored by LSP and receive a scholarship from LSP.
Q: Is there a GPA Minimum?
Yes, a 3.0 weighted GPA.
