Fitzwilliam College Shadowing Scheme 2015: Volunteer Sign Up
Fill in this form if you'd like to volunteer for the first ever Fitzwilliam College Shadowing Scheme!
The Shadowing Scheme will take place between 26th-28th November 2015 (Thursday afternoon to Saturday morning).
As a volunteer you'll be assigned a shadow for the weekend; a sixth-former from London who has signed up to the scheme in order to learn more about student life at Cambridge. You'll be responsible for taking them to your lectures, supervisions and practicals and looking after them while they're in Cambridge. There'll also be social activities and other events for shadows and mentors over the two days.
Once you've signed up we will let you know whether or not you've been successful. If you are chosen to volunteer on the scheme you will need to complete a DBS check (so don't forget to bring your documents with you!) and attend a training session.

Room donation means staying in a friend's room for the weekend of the scheme so that your shadow can stay in your room. This allows us to have more spaces for shadows on the scheme. Only students living on the main college site are able to donate their rooms.
Do you have a previous DBS check with the University?
Every volunteer for the scheme needs to be DBS checked. We can accept DBS checks from previous CUSU Shadowing Schemes (from up to 3 years ago), Medicine and Veterinary students' DBS checks and DBS checks done through work as a CAMbassador (on residentials). If you haven't got one already then we can provide one, and if you do then don't forget to bring it with you as we will need to see a copy!
