The District Court of Guam is pleased to host a unique contest for aspiring court sketch artists in conjunction with 2018 Law Week.

High school students and adult members of the public will register for the contest online and will sketch an aspect of any public court proceeding from April 1, 2018 through April 27, 2018.  Registered contestants will submit their original artwork of any size to the court’s Clerk’s Office by 3:00 p.m., May 1, 2018.  

The contest will have two divisions, one for high school students, and another for adult members of the public.  First, second, and third prizes will be awarded to contestants in each division.

The sketches will be judged by a panel of local artists, art teachers, and journalists.  Contest winners will be announced by May 15, 2018.
