Please complete this application to be considered for the Museum Education Internship (Fall 2019-Spring 2020).
Museum Education interns research and create interactive, interdisciplinary learning experiences in the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden — an outdoor, living museum encompassing our historic 100-plus-acre Arboretum, our main campus outdoor spaces and the Putah Creek Riparian Reserve. Focused on making the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden accessible to visitors of all ages, students work directly with clients, such as Arboretum and Public Garden staff, to create educational signage and tours, and maintain signage throughout the Arboretum. Interns have the opportunity to engage with the natural environment, gain skills in visitor studies and informal education, and build strong team relationships. Throughout this internship, students will learn strategies to effectively communicate educational content in an outdoor museum.
