300 Monthiversary

On the 19th day of December 1989 my true love and I were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. On the 19th day of each month ever since then my romantic husband ‘Mr. Mo’ has wished me a “happy monthiversary” and will commemorate our special day in some small, sweet little way. As month after month and year after year rolled by, Mr. Mo never missed a month. He is also always prepared to know exactly which monthiversary it was. (I’ve come to depend on this guys’ wonderfully maddening mathematical mind). And so, on the 19th day of December 2014 Mr. Mo woke me up with a kiss and a wish for a very “Happy 300 months” of marital bliss! 🙂 Yep, that translates into the commonly known 25 years, Silver, or quarter of a century anniversary (and for any other number-obsessed folk that also comes out to be “approximately 9,130 days”)

When you stop and think about it, that’s a pretty long time. Isn’t it odd how fast time goes by when you’re busy living it?!

I’m so grateful for this very good, kind, long-suffering, gentle man. He has stuck beside me through thick and thin on our journey through life together. He’s a devoted husband and loving daddy, and my best friend.

Here’s to the next 300 monthiversaries, and To Infinity and Beyond! 😀

25-yr-mosop-anniversary — Us. Then & Now 🙂 – Here’s something totally weird; the couple on the RIGHT are actually old enough to be parents of the couple on the LEFT. So yeah, that’s totally freaky.

Since we married so close to Christmas, our yearly anniversary is always associated with our month-long Christmas celebrations, and Christmas music. We have several favorite songs that we love. One of them is the classic Canon in D major, by Johann Pachelbel, written in 1680. We really like the modernized arrangement by George Winston. Enjoy! – MoSop
