Was Dead Man Thrown Out Of Window?

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was found dead on a South Side sidewalk over the weekend, and police are trying to determine whether he was thrown out of a window.

Patrick Starks, 43, of the 800 block of East 82nd Street, was pronounced dead at 9:07 p.m. Sunday at Stroger Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

At 1:33 p.m. Sunday, police responded to a report of an injured man lying on the sidewalk on the block, according to police News Affairs Officer Robert Perez.

Police were not sure Monday morning of how Starks suffered his injuries. They are investigating the possibility he was thrown out of a broken second story window in his residence, according to Perez, who said Starks' injuries appeared to be the results of a home invasion.

No drugs were reported found at Starks' home, Perez said.

No one was in custody Monday morning, Perez said.
