The Trevor Project on Sunday honored
actress Jane Lynch for her gay rights advocacy with its Trevor Hero
Award at TrevorLIVE.
Taking place at the Hollywood Palladium
in Los Angeles, TrevorLIVE featured musical performances from Adam
Lambert, Amber Riley, Beth Behrs, Big Sean, Candice Accola, Cheyenne
Jackson, Darren Criss, Fergie, Mark Salling, Megan Hilty and Sia.
Adam Lambert performed an acoustic
version of Whaddaya Want From Me. (Video of Lambert's
performance is embedded on this page. Visit

The organization, which runs the
nation's only 24-hour suicide hotline for LGBT youth, honored Adam
White, a senior at Brigham Young University, with its Trevor Youth
Innovator Award and Toyota with its Trevor 20/20 Visionary Award.
In accepting her award, Lynch said: “I
would love [at] this moment to be falsely modest and say that I am no
hero. I would love to be able to say what I do is not extraordinary.
But I can't. I deserve this freaking award.”
“I'm so excited and so humbled to be
recognized and I am proud to represent the enormous potential of
LGBTQ youth who identify as religious – and of all unlikely things,
as a Mormon,” said Adam White.
The event was hosted by comedian Kathy
Griffin.
Lisa Kudrow, Naya Rivera, Dot-Marie
Jones, Andrew Rannells, Alex Newell and Chris Colfer also appeared at
the annual fundraiser.
