Word Lens App Translates Words Inside Images

There’s no doubt that technology is bringing the world together and now a new iPhone app, Word Lens, is bringing down some language barriers. Instead of having to search for language translations online, this app uses the magic of augmented reality to replace every word on signs that you point the camera at, showing you the translated words directly on your phone as if the sign was written in your language. Just download the app and pay $4.99 for the language pack (which currently only offers English-Spanish translation or vice versa) and you’re good to go. The best part is that you won’t even need an Internet connection in order for it to work, which would be great news for travelers since Internet connectivity while you’re roaming can become very expensive.
