CHICAGO (STMW) - Two young men were wounded in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in the East Village neighborhood that occurred as they were walking home from playing basketball.

About 6 p.m., the two males, one 17 years old and the other 18 years old, were walking on the 1800 block of West Erie Street, on their way home after playing basketball, according to a report from police News Affairs.

A tan SUV pulled up and several shots were fired from inside the vehicle, police said. The 17-year-old was struck in the buttock area and the 18-year-old was struck in the left foot, police said. Both were treated at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said.
