It's been 20 years since KIDS came out, with all of its difficult-to-watch scenes and Lou Barlow songs soundtracking them. Harmony Korine & Co. will celebrate the iconic and controversial film at BAM, with now adults Chloë Sevigny, Rosario Dawson, Leo Fitzpatrick, and Larry Clark as part of BAMcinemaFest this June.

KIDS

follows teenage skaters Telly (Fitzpatrick) and Casper (Justin Pierce) as they drift aimlessly through downtown Manhattan in the single-minded pursuit of sex and drugs. But all the while, the specter of AIDS hangs ominously in the background. This startlingly raw, vérité portrait of urban adolescence features the breakout roles of Sevigny and Dawson and was hailed by The New York Times as “a wake-up call to the world.”

The screening event will take place on June 25th at BAM Rose Cinemas, and will feature a Q&A with the aforementioned cast, and others to be announced. Tickets go on sale May 26th to members, and May 29th to the general public.
