BJP wants CM’s apology for Ashutosh’s defence

New Delhi: The BJP has sought an apology from Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Ashutosh, who has in his blog, compared sacked Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar with Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and other leaders.
It countered Ashutosh’s claim that Kumar had consensual sex as one of the woman in the purported CD went to the police station on Saturday alleging that she went for a ration card when the minister “exploited” her.
“Ashutosh has hurt the soul of Mahatma Gandhi and has insulted 125 crore Indians. Kejriwal should tender an unconditional apology with folded hands and initiate action against his party leader,” said BJP spokesman Sambit Patra in a press conference here on Saturday. He said that the AAP leader has tried to make virtue out of vice by drawing a shameful comparison.
Patra said that Kejriwal had launched his party after paying obeisance to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat and had used a picture of the father of the nation as the backdrop for his Ramlila Ground agitation. “But Kejriwal has not spoken anything on the matter that shows that Ashutosh is just a face and the actual person behind his write up is someone else,” alleged Patra, hinting that Kejriwal was the brain behind the blog.
He said that whenever there is a crisis Kejriwal is found missing. “Today Kejriwal has gone to Rome for canonisation of Mother Teresa. We expect that Delhi chief minister will spare some time and react on the vilification of the great saints of India,” he added.
Patra alleged that the sacked minister seems to have filmed the sexual act himself, which was an act of pornography, liable for action against the tainted leader.
BJP leader said Kejriwal claimed that he cannot verify everybody's credentials while distribution tickets and posts but he used to attack every opposition leader as if he knew all of them inside out. “Kejriwal claims to be good face reader as he had claimed that all politicians are thieves. But he could not see the face of own ministerial colleague,” said Patra.
He said Atal Bihari Vajpayee sacrificed his life for the country and even his opponents use respectful words for him. “Vajpayeeji is known as Ajatshatru of politics and use of objectionable words against him are strongly condemnable and deserves strong action,” Patra said.
