303 What Would Europe Look Like If All The Ice On Earth Melted?

Climate change—it's the topic of hot debate every year, with many of its effects now irreversible. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, sea levels could rise by at least another meter (3.28 feet) by the end of this century.

If all the land ice on the planet were to suddenly melt now, sea levels would increase by 65.8 meters (216 feet) as National Geographic showed us in 2013. That would completely submerge the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro and the White House in Washington. This wouldn’t just be a case of wearing waders to work, this would mean complete submersion of the world’s major cities.
