R.E.M. to release "MTV Unplugged" performances on Record Store Day

The collection will include four LPs and 11 never broadcast songs from the 1991 and 2001 sessions

In September of 2011, the band R.E.M. decided to call it quits. It has been two and a half years since then, and the band that delighted listeners with 15 studio albums over three decades keeps on giving. To the delight of R.E.M. fans, on April 19, Record Store Day, the revolutionary 1980s band will release recordings of its two "MTV Unplugged" sessions in 1991 and 2001. The collection will consist of four LPs, and will be made available on CD and for digital download on May 20, 2014.

Diehard fans can get their collections signed by Mike Mills at the Bull Moose record shop in Scarborough, Maine. The full song list of the records can be found at Pitchfork.
