Manish Sisodia Questions Arun Jaitley's Remarks on CBI Raid at Delhi Secretariat

Manish Sisodia Questions Arun Jaitley's Remarks on CBI Raid at Delhi Secretariat

"File movement register of the chief minister's office has been seized. If the raid was not about the chief minister's present term, why was the register seized," Manish Sisodia asked.

New Delhi: The Delhi government today demanded to know why the CBI seized Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's records of file movements of November-December this year.

Challenging Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's statement in Parliament that the Central Bureau of Investigation did not search Mr Kejriwal's office, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said this was not true.

"File movement register of the chief minister's office has been seized. If the raid was not about the chief minister's present term, why was the register seized," Mr Sisodia asked.

Mr Sisodia alleged that Parliament was taken for a ride by Jaitley.

Mr Jaitley had told Parliament yesterday that the CBI only raided the office of Mr Kejriwal's principal secretary Rajender Kumar over transactions in his earlier capacities.
