Eagles defense doesn't expect Dallas Cowboys offense to change after releasing Joseph Randle

PHILADELPHIA -- The Dallas Cowboys released running back Joseph Randle Tuesday, but members of the Eagles' defense don't expect the move to have much of an impact on the offense they'll face Sunday night in Arlington.

"It doesn't," Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins told NJ Advance Media on Tuesday when asked how much the Cowboys' offense will change in Randle's absence. "I think Darren McFadden is really getting that running game going lately. They have a couple young guys they also throw in there.

"It's differently different from how the started the year before losing a couple key guys due to injury and now releasing him, but I think McFadden's really getting it going for them."

Randle's release comes due to violating the NFL's personal-conduct policy and did not play in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

Prior to Tuesday's move, Randle averaged 4.1 yards per carry while rushing for 315 yards and four touchdowns this season.

Randle once criticized Eagles running back DeMarco Murray for leaving Dallas as a free agent stating that during the 2014 season when Murray rushed for 1,845 yards that he "left a lot of meat on the bone," referring to extra yardage that could have been gained.

"I'm employee No. 91 of the Philadelphia Eagles," Eagles defensive end Fletcher Cox joked when asked his thoughts on what losing Randle will have on the Cowboys' offense. "I don't have anything to say about that man's paycheck."

McFadden has come on strong in recent weeks rushing for 152 yards and one touchdown in Week 7 against the Giants before adding 64 yards on 20 carries against a stingy Seahawks defense on Sunday afternoon.

With Randle's release, it appears the Eagles defense will face a Cowboys offense with McFadden as the clear-cut top running back Sunday in the rematch of a Week 2 loss at Lincoln Financial Field.
