How to Fix Errors on Your Credit Report

There is nothing worse than going to apply for a mortgage on a home you have an offer in on and finding out you have something that is an error on your credit. I cannot stress enough the importance of getting a full preapproval. More often than not, these errors can take 30-60 days to fix and can be somewhat of a process.

If a lender has told you about an error and you`d like to fix it you can do the following:

Equifax
1. File a Virtual Dispute via the Equifax Online Form
2. Mail a copy of any proof of payment to
Equifax Canada Co.
