You are my hero bro'. I've been waiting for someone to port aokp since xylo has stopped updating his aokp port.
The fastest and the smoothest rom!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!

One question: Since it's based on tytungs cm10, does it support 720p decoding?

Thanks, great rom! I have no idea why, but Gallery app isn't included default. And why standard Messages app is in inverted colors?:D

Is it possible to deactivate vibration when unlocking the phone?

actually i'm not sure if the screen (un)lock vibration alone can be disabled, ..but i included the 'vibrafix.apk' app, to bypass all vibration - it's a sure thing for avoiding vibrations, and will disable them even for apps that cannot be unset.

Thanks, great rom! I have no idea why, but Gallery app isn't included default. And why standard Messages app is in inverted colors?

lol, thanks for cheering my day, and giving me a good chuckle on this one - really, thanks.

...because i had esp, purposely searched for an inverted mms.apk app to avoid the 'glaring white' of the standard apps, and also to save some battery, ..and also i thought maybe all the excessive brightness might affect the pixels elements on the screen over time.

and then, i just got in a habit to copy in the inverted mms for any rom i used or ported - it just became a habit for me to copy in.

but of course, please copy in freely any apps to your liking.

the story on gallery.apk - hehe, there was period when the Gallery app was always fc'ng in every new rom, so i started to use the included pic viewer in 'X-plore file manager', ..but i usually install that separately.

..so, my bad - i just overlooked including an image viewer - again, please use whatever one of your liking, or copy in a Gallery app.

hey kam-, i've never experienced repeated issues for booting from cLK (kokotas') on NAND or DataOnEXT, though I did experience similar to yours, almost exactly, once a while back, just happens i was doing ports of ParanoidAndroid 2.51 & 2.52 then, and i resolved that by ** manually formatting NAND/boot from recovery **.

I formatted NAND/boot from recovery and the issue vanished.:fingers-crossed:

ESP between repeated rom flashes to NAND, the NAND memory never actually gets erased, and if you are experiencing any unexpected things, then better manually to wipe it - there's no reason why the NAND should be clean before your next flash, right? ..unless you wipe it yourself.

and if that doesn't resolve it, then try also formatting NAND, from kokotas' cLK:

kokotas' cLK > Settings > Format NAND

and that should also read out all and any ** bad blocks ** on any of your NAND partitions.

i just happen to have 2 bad blocks on my tmobile hd2, but they happen to usually sit in my NAND/system partition.

that's all i can suggest to you, pal - really hope that resolves for you.:cowboy:

AOKP 4.2.1 PREVIEW *Compile* BUILD for HD2

    AOKP 4.2.1 'PREVIEW BUILDS'

For those who want a taste of AOKP JB-MR1 this is a rom compiling of AOKP's newest sources for our HD2's.

    http://d-h.st/1rk

As is, AOKP-MR1 is very alpha and this rom compiling is only meant as a sampler for the curious.

The system boots and runs okay except that SystemUI.apk will fc repeatedly, although by pressing ok and then the screen you can still move around enough to sample things - a new ROMControl and some other features.

You can install to NativeSD to try it w/o overwriting your main NAND rom - better to install to NativeSD if possible, as I was getting mix results on NAND booting for some reason.

You will not be able to use this rom as for daily use - it is only meant as a working sampler.:D

Although you may be able to extract latest jb 4.2.1 apks like the 4.2.1 Keyboard or other components if you wish.

For more info on the preview releases from AOKP see this (for another device supported by AOKP):

    http://rootzwiki.com/topic/31679-romofficial-aokp-d2vzw-421-preview-builds

Thanks mostly goes to Evervolv for providing legacy qcom sources for our HD2's and to the 'htcleo' team - thanks again.

ParannoidAndroid 2.56 CM10 JB **HD2 Full Compile Version**

;)This is a full compile of PA 2.56 to our HD2's
using the latest repo git sources of ParanoidAndroid -j jellybean,
done in my ubuntu 12.04 virtualbox setup running on ssd ('GarfieldVM').

I cannot start a whole thread and serve it myself due to time constraints,
...so just gonna post it here for now.:p

:good:Edit (01/03) New thread: NativeSD / DataOnEXT version of 'pa_leo'
    http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=36188943

    :good:Edit (12/30) ParanoidAndroid 2.56 -Final Compile- of 'pa_leo'

I finished enough of this, ..so will be able to continue onto other android sources, yahoo!

Download link for 'Full Compile of ParanoidAndroid 2.56 CM10 JB to htcleo'pa_leo' :
:good:d/l of 'pa_leo' full compile rom

    Gapps: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20121011-signed.zip

Installs to /system ~250m 'NAND only'
loader and data connection type is cLK / pppd (no magldr or haret, for now)

    Video playback:
For video playback, install the included *MX Player 1.7.9* in /system/app
...as is, mx player hasn't installed the video codecs installed so pls use the include root explorer
...and go into /system/app, find mxplayer.apk and install it as a user app
...then set it as default player from gallery2

    Camera:
...camera, takes good pictures, except the viewer is strandy
...and the current gallery camera may soft reboot once in a while

    Launcher:
...the cm trebuchet launcher may 'blank out' after 1st use
...so just find your way to setttings > apps > all > trebuchet, and 'clear data' - that's it, and just a one time necessity.

    3g:
...i have not 2g or 3g on my hd2 (3g only on a spare phone with cdma, so i couldn't test 2g to 3g switching)
...but i included tytung's ril tweak script just for good measure.

    Screen off:
...i've attached a copy of 'Screen Off and Lock', small and functional for now.

    Kernel:
    ...is tytung's jb
...and the .ko kernel modules are too.
...though i tested marc1706's kernels & .ko sets, ...very good, excellent, too.

    Rom size:
...is bigger than it could be - easy to pare down /system by deleting or replace fat apps.
...though for this rom i'm trying to keep it quite stock, almost like directly out of compile.

    Porting to NativeSD:
...will be working on other android source compiles first.
:good:Edit (12/24) Doing more work on the leo device set during the holidays - and got more of qsd8k devices working:

Thanks to Evervolv for their continued work on the legacy qsd8k devices - bravo, passion, supersonic - and providing good study examples.

This is more an exercise in making a working (and portable) leo device set than putting out a PA rom, though I personally do like PA the most.

Will try to post something when it's more done.
    Working:

    Phone
    SMS
    Sound
Graphics (gallery works great, add MX Player for 720p)
    Wifi (fully working)
Bluetooth (answering / ending calls with bt headset)
    Sensors & GPS
    Compass
General operation (smooth, fluid, ...web pages come in faster, seem to scroll more fluidly, rom may handle loads better.)

    (12/26)
Data (though connection drops, ..maybe be due to my local area telecom recently)
Camera (...is working 99%, except for a soft reboot once in a while with certain kernels - will try to recompile camera qsd8k .so dll a different way; bands in viewer unless installing a different camera than in gallery).

    (12/27)
Data (works, ..was always working, except that reception has been poor in my room, lol:eek::crying:).

    Not Working:
    :good:(seems working, mostly)

d/l: (none; leaving the rom on my harddisk - will post when it's finished)
    :good:Edit (12/16) Initial rom - qsd8k hardwares partially working

    d/l:
    pa_leo-userdebug 4.1.2.eng.root.20121216.zip

    Working:
    - phone & data (data connects, ..but maybe dns issue)
    - different modes including tablet (edit lcd.density in ro.sf.lcd_density to 240 for tablet mode)
    - gallery works well, and is a latest build
    - install MX Player for 720p video

    General Character:
    - general look and feel is quick, smooth, and stable.
    - this is a 100% Full Compile from PA / CM10 sources directly all the way thru the proprietaries for our HD2's
    - so expect to have a fresh experience
    - there are no ported over files whatsoever - none - the entire /lib is completely native to our HD2 and should be stabler as such.
    - added a couple of apps, like root explorer & total commander - otherwise the rom is pure compiler output.

    Not Working:
    - wifi
    - sound
    - camera
    - others?
    - can consider this alpha to beta

    Notes:
    - flash to NAND, /system ~230m
    - add some gapps if you wish - it comes straight out of compile with basic apps
    - try it, have fun, make some feedback & comments if you wish.
    - i cannot start a whole thread and serve it myself due to time constraints, ...so just gonna post it here for now.
    :good:Edit: (12/17)
    - redoing for sound & wifi
    :good:Edit (12/18):
    - super interesting trying to make more of the hardware work,
...the android sources have an awesome Makefile system
...having to integrate, study more into evervolv's work on qsd8k devices
    :good:Edit (12/19):
    - redoing updates on some cm devices sets for hd2 - merging & updating.
    .
