Today, it's hard to imagine baseball without Hispanic players. But for a long time, Latinos, like their African-American peers, had a color barrier to overcome in major-league baseball.

Burgos and Doswell will be at the Plaza Branch of the Kansas City Public Library to present “They, Too, Played America’s Game” on Thursday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m.
The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum will have former MLB catcher Bengie Molina on Saturday, August 8 at 1:30 pm at the Field of Legends exhibition. He will speak about his book, 'Molina: The Story of the Father Who Raised An Unlikely Baseball Dynasty.'
