Florida – Fort Pierce-based company Hajn LLC has filed a lawsuit against A&E Television Networks over an alleged trademark violation concerning its popular show “Duck Dynasty.” As reported by WPTV, the novelty merchandising company says in the suit that the show uses its trademarked phrases “My Favorite Color is Camo” and “My Favorite Color’s Camo” to market and sell “Duck Dynasty” related merchandise.

Uncle Si Robertson, who is featured on the show, reportedly made the phrase, “My Favorite Color is Camo” popular after using it on the show. Hajn claims to have trademarked it in 2011.

The lawsuit is seeking to prohibit Duck Dynasty from continuing to use both phrases, as well as monetary damages.

Greg Weiss, a spokesman for the West Palm Beach law firm Mrachek Fitzgerald Rose Konopka Thomas & Weiss, which filed the suit, is quoted by WPTV as saying in a prepared statement, “Our client is a hardworking and enterprising small-business owner who took the time and effort to trademark his intellectual property… We had no choice but to pursue his rights though this lawsuit after our warning went unheeded.”
