AMBLESIDE Together have set up an online survey asking businesses in Ambleside to highlight specific concerns and opinions on issues such as the impact of broadband speeds on local businesses and parking provision for local staff.

Businesses can also send alerts about issues such as litter bins, benches or damaged signs and can add their own wish list, and give opinions on ideas for a local discount card for retailers, hoteliers and food providers.

Ambleside Together, organisers of the Festival of the Fells in September, now has 'hot-desking' at Low Nook for small businesses to use.

Ambleside Together, helping businesses recover from the floods, also have their 'Love Ambleside' logo for shop windows etc available from Cunninghams outdoor shop.

They hope to relay the Tour of Britain cycle race passing through Ambleside on large screen TV in town on Sept 5, and are also supporting Ambleside/Kirkstone Rotary’s charity Duck Race.

Chairman Andrew Hewitt said Ambleside Together should be the ‘go-to’ place for businesses, helping them to apply for flood-relief grants or directing them to expert help.

The survey can be found online at https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/92G63RJ and all are welcome at its weekly meetings, Thursdays at 5.30pm at Lakes Lodge, where concerns can be raised and help made available.
