In lieu of the fatal shooting of Alton Sterling by the Baton Rouge Police Department, Brooklyn spitter Napoleon Da Legend (NDL) releases “Time is the Enemy,” which details the continued plight of the black man in America.

“For all intents and purpose, they’ll never mention an indentured servant/ When it comes to blacks and cops, they’ll never mention murder/ They’ll never mention water, they’ll never mention war, they’ll never mention racism, and don’t mention poor.”

Featuring an intro from Kevin Spacey as House of Cards’ Frank Underwood, with an excerpt of a moving speech from Dick Gregory used for the outro, the track can be found on NDL’s recently released free project, “Steal This Mixtape.”
