Sam's Coney Island & Family Restaurant

Sam's offers both the traditional and Flint style coney. They use a Kogel's natural casing dog so you know they care about quality.

I had the Flint Style this time and truly enjoyed it. It is a bit drier than the traditional version but is still very flavorful.

Cleanliness: I give it Five (5) Stars.

Staff: 5 Stars.

I will definitely be back.

Service was very good and very fast.

The food was good. One of us breakfast, one had coneys and fries while i had a club sandwhich with fries and a side salad.

My only complaint was the salad. It was a dusting of head lettuce, 2 pieces of not very good tomatoes and some croutons. The little bowl was not even half full. It was very sad for almost $6.

Other than that prices were reasonable. I would go back.

One detail to be aware of, if you are in a wheel chair it is very difficult to get in through the front door.

This was my Dad's favorite go-to spot for breakfast. He loved the food (all of it)...The servers treated him respectfully...and they loved having him as a regular. The atmosphere was just what you'd expect...you get what you get!

Sam's is the best Coney Island in the area! Homemade ranch, great broccoli cheese soup, & the best waitresses Genesee County has to offer!!

Was originally headed to Chef G's for breakfast, but they were closed, so we walked a couple of doors down to Sam's. First time there and we were greeted right off with offers of what to drink. We said coffee and when our waitress returned, she had the coffee and water. It's nice to not have to ask for water. She took our order and within 10 minutes it had arrived. My wife had the cinnamon pecan pancakes and I had a meat lovers omelette. Both were ample and very good. The best part though was the excellent service we received. She kept the coffee coming and each time she came over she had a very pleasant smile. I'm sure we'll go back!

Great hometown restaurant! The prices are great, they have some of the nicest waitresses here, it's a good place to take kids too because they get ice cream with their kids meal! Walk around downtown and enjoy the little shops downtown once you're done :)

When close, don't even consider other options. I had the western omelette with hash browns covered in chili and cheese. Fast service, wonderful prices, and friendly service. Match this with the best Breakfast I have had in years and this is a no brainer while in Lapeer.

Went here while visiting a friend in the area. Ordered breakfast eggs, bacon and pancakes. Husband ordered breakfast burrito on pita, daughter breakfast sandwich on croissant. We were not disappointed. Typical greasy spoon. Fast , easy and standard. Interior is mostly booths, waitstaff friendly and efficient.

Ordered biscuits & gravy for breakfast, had to repeat order 3 times, and when I picked it up and got home, no biscuits! Called and same girl said " oh, no problem we can give you some" no sorry, I had to drive all the way back, and again no sorry! They were horrible too!

So today me my boyfriend and my friend all went out to eat for breakfast everything started off fine until we mentioned the ranch and cream cheese tasted sour and a lady who wasnt even our waitress had a ridiculously poor attitude they forgot part of my order we were overcharged. And on top of all of that at the end of our meal I realize there is a baby cockroach on our table. This place is disgusting and has poor service and I will not ho back and I reccomend you stay away as well
