E! News has confirmed that the Grammy winner has signed, or is about to sign, a residency deal with a famous resort that will allow her to perform to thousands of fans on a regular basis.
If all goes according to plan, Carey could begin performing her hits, including "We Belong Together," "Hero," "Fantasy," "Always Be My Baby," and more by the end of this year!

Carey joins a long list of famous stars who have secured successful residency gigs in Las Vegas.
One of the most famous deals is Britney Spears' gig with Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino that earned her nearly $30 million for two years. A source shot down a report that Carey will be banking more money than Brit. The source says Carey's deal is nowhere near the "I'm a Slave 4 U" singer's lucrative contract.
Carey's Vegas residency comes at a time when the singer is hoping to move on from her split with husband Nick Cannon.
Back in September, E! News confirmed Carey "started the divorce process" after Cannon commented about their relationship struggles to the press.
"She won't be caught off-guard again," the source dished. "She was devastated when he spoke out about their issues. She's started the proceedings to make sure the ball is in her court from now on."
At least Carey can count on her loyal fans to support their favorite performer in the new year ahead!
