  1. Drink Lots of Water:  Holiday cooking can be heavy in sodium and drinking water helps to flush out your system.  An added benefit of drinking water with every meal is that it helps you to feel full faster, reducing your total number of calories.
  2. Limit Alcohol:  After holiday imbibing, taking a break from drinking alcohol can help unwanted pounds fall off quickly.  Try to stick to a glass of wine or a light beer instead of calorie-laden cocktails.
  3. Get Moving:  Taking a 20 minute brisk walk daily will help work off those unwanted pounds especially if you plan your walk for a time of day when you feel tempted to snack.
  4. Don’t Eat in Front of the TV:  mindless eating leads to extra weight quickly. 
    Avoid distractions when you’re eating and focus on your meal so that you’re aware of the amount your really consuming.
