Years after her mother’s death, sixteen-year-old Arie Belle was on her own and still trying to find her way in the world. All she had left were the bookstore her mother left behind and her best friend, River. Her mother’s mysterious death still plagued her, but when Ashe, a beautiful stranger, enters her life he sheds light on her death, giving Arie renewed hope. She is thrusted into a world of wonder just beyond this realm of reality where she discovers the truth behind her mother’s death, who she’s destined to be, and the whereabouts of her long lost, but not forgotten, father.

I do not like spoilers, so I am going to be very vague with my review. I want you to experience this book the way I did; going in with NO CLUE about what this book is really about! If you're like me, you need to switch up your book selection once in a while. This is definitely the perfect change of pace. It's an amazing Young & New Adult, Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance.
Arie Belle is just a quirky, beautiful girl with a happy life; then, when Arie is sixteen, her mother dies very suddenly. Thankfully, she has her best friend, River and his parents to keep her company. Even though she is surrounded by people who love her, nothing ever seemed the same. Her world, which was once full of light and happiness, became dark and distant. On her 18th birthday, she learns that the past she knew wasn't exactly what she thought it was.
River, Arie's best friend, guides her through the new path her life is taking. He is there for her when she needs him the most. He pledges his love to her and she knows that he means it. However, she doesn't expect to meet Ashe, the mysterious guy who tears her heart into pieces. She learns that it is, in fact, possible to be in love with two people.
In my mind, this book has everything a book should have. The entire time I was reading, my husband had to check on me. I yelled a lot. I wanted answers. "Why, ARIE?" "What is going on"? Then, magically, I had my answers. Dani Hart must be a mind reader. She perfectly described Arie's life and encounters with the most beautiful imagery I've ever read.
I'd like to thank Dani Hart for creating this amazing piece of art. Not only it is beautifully written, but it transported me into a world that I never could've imagined! This book is unlike anything I've ever read. Years from now, we will look back and say "Remember when Dani Hart first created the Life of Arie series?" It's that good. I I'll give you a simple comparison to show you what I mean: When I first read Twilight, I thought "This book is going to be something. Stephanie Meyer just put a new spin on Vampires. I hope this one makes it big." THAT is how I felt after reading this book. I think; No, I know that not only is this going to be a wonderful book series, it is going to be an incredible movie. It's going to do for fairies/guardians of nature/natural beings what J.K. Rowling did for wizards and Stephanie Meyer did for sparkly vampires!
I highly suggest you click one of the following links and purchase this book! As I always say, don't forget to leave a review. Your voice can't be heard unless you spread the word!

Right it took me a long time to get into this book, but boy was I glad I stuck it out.
We meet Arie (love the name) who lives in a lovely cottage with her mother surrounded by a beautiful meadow. Nature at its best.
Everything changes for Arie when her mother passes away. Strange things start to happen that she can't explain why. But River is always there to help no matter how bad Arie treats him.
This story will have you lost in its reality. Asking yourself questions but eventually getting the answers to them.

I give it 3.5 fangs.
Reality is the first book in the series The Arie Chronicles by Dani Hart. I would suggest this book for adults and young adults.
This story is about Arie. Arie has a way with nature just like her mother. She doesn’t know much about her father, but that he loved her mother. As Arie grows up she notices changes with her and the animals around her, especially with butterflies. On her sixteenth birthday her mother suddenly dies and the cause of her death has always been a mystery to Arie.
Arie’s best friend is River. They were borns a few months apart and have always lived next to each other. With the death of Arie’s mother, River’s parents help to raise her. There is another boy her life, Ashe. Ashe is a stranger but somehow makes Arie feel like he is part of her. Arie’s heart is split between River and Ashe.
Most of Arie’s questions about herself, her dad, her mom and her future are finally explained at the end of the book. But of course only more questions come from that.
Without giving away any further spoilers, if you like romance and fairies, then you will like this book. This book is just the beginning of Arie’s story. And I can’t wait to get started on book two.

The way this book is written will leave you hugging your loved ones just because you can, i really related with Arie after losing my mum 4 years ago, and having to struggle out of the dark depression it can leave you in.
I cant wait till book 2
You are an amazing author well done!!!!

Born to a single mother Arie's life is sheltered and consists of little more than her home on the outside of town, her mother, and her best friend/love interest River from down the road. From early on she knows her mother has a special relationship with nature and as she grows older it seems she does too. Never thinking much of it she is content with life and very naïve…until the ultimate shock to her world where she plummets into darkness existing but not living or feeling as her world crumbles around her. A few years later, as her 18th birthday draws closer strange things start to happen to her and she now must open old wounds to find the answers before something bad happens.
This book sucked me in with so many twists and turns you have to keep reading to find out what the deal is. I read it in one sitting it was that good!!! Though Arie annoyed me many, many times due to her childishness and lack of experience in the world and how to deal with it I was very impressed with her underlying strength and determination. I love, love, loved River…*swoon* the most perfect, loyal, trustworthy, loving boy a girl could ask for. Then there is Ashe…*bigger swoon* mysterious, romantic, protective…ahhhhh.
This is a fantastic and clean love story with mystery, danger, and adventure for anyone 13+. Definitely not your typical paranormal read it is unique and refreshing and I can't wait to read the next installment!!!
