Trash on my Back is a five day challenge lasting from April 22nd to 26th (Wednesday to Sunday) in which we challenge you to carry around your trash in a ziploc bag!
The objective of this activity (besides having fun!) is to make us more aware of the little decisions and habits that actually add up to contribute to landfills every day. Hopefully it will motivate us to change our lifestyles in simple and easy ways to lead more sustainable and environmentally conscious lives. :)
Rules:
All items that you do not compost or recycle will go into your bag. Any biohazardous waste (used tissues, toilet paper, etc.) should be thrown out. Please do not save this in your bag! (Note: paper towels used to dry your hands or wipe off a table do not count as biohazardous.)
Waste produced in labs will not be considered waste in this competition.
