Children in Pakistan are about to be introduced to the US television favourite of Sesame Street.

A locally-produced version of the educational show will go on air on Pakistani TV on Saturday.

The United States Agency for International Development has committed $10m to the four-year project, which it hopes will provide basic literacy and numeracy skills and teach lessons in tolerance and mutual respect.
