Olay Total Effects Line and Dark Circle Minimizing Brush :: $100 Spa Finder Gift Card Giveaway

This is a sponsored review from BlogHer and OLAY.

Olay BlogHer Review

On most days I am rushing out of the house…throwing clothes on…splashing on some makeup…hoping to not be late to wherever I am going.  If you are like me, the perfect beauty routine is quick but still pulled together.  In order to achieve this you need less product…but the few you do use to be quality and purposeful.

When I am busy or tired it is easy to run out of the house with my sweats on and no makeup.  As I get older I am beginning to realize the importance of being pulled together {I’m not in college anymore and cannot just roll out of bed and go places???}.  I now see why my mom always told me I needed to wear sunscreen, drink lots of water, and eat healthy.  Not only do they affect the functional part of my body but it also affects the appearance of my skin.

My beauty routine consists of a moisturizer with sunscreen, a little foundation, and some eye shadow and eye liner.  In the morning I try to eat something filling and healthy to get me through my morning workout.  Throughout the rest of the day I try to fill up on as much water, fruits, and vegetables…in between and during meals.  When I am able to accomplish these few but important elements of the day, I know I am taking care of my body for today and in the long run.

DSC_0411

A new addition to my beauty routine is Olay’s Total Effects Line and Dark Circle Minimizing Brush.  It is super easy and quick to apply.  You push the bottom button and a little bit of the cream squirts into the brush {this is very exciting by the way!} and you just brush it under the eye.  It tightens skin around the eyes, keeping me looking young and youthful.  It takes only a few seconds and I know that I am helping reduce any darkness under my eyes.

So here is the fun part…tell me what you do in your beauty routine when you are feeling rushed or tired.  Let’s learn from one another’s secrets!  And for commenting, you will be entered to win a $100 Spa Finder gift card!

Ah, feeling rushed and tired. I know how that goes! When I am not feeling my best I love a quick swipe of lip gloss or lipstick. I rarely wear it, so it is a pick-me-up and "look alive" trick on the days where I wanted to hit the snooze button ten more times. :)

I know this feeling all to often!
To make me feel "put together" and rested I apply my kitten Stila smudge pot no other eyeshadow and in the corners of my eyes I use a brightening eyeshadow to make my eyes look rested.
This makes me feel much better!

My beauty routine usually consists of mascara & maybe lip gloss, very, very minimal. But, I've found that using face wipes that clean my face & remove makeup are a perfect way to simplify at the end of the day.

Being a mother of 2 little ones, I am always running late... but years of horrible skin means I can not leave the house without make up. I always start with a fresh clean face, follwed with a tinted moisturizer with SPF. a thin layer of mineral powder, mascary (as my daughter calls it) and chap stick. When I go out somewhere nice, like a date night, my beauty routine is a little more involved.

I simplify my beauty routine when I'm in a hurry by just using mascara and lip gloss! Enough to make me still feel confident :)

When I don't have time to blow dry my hair in the morning I like to put it up in a bun while it is still wet. This gets my wet hair out of my way while I'm rushing to get out the door. Once I'm in the car I let it down and by the time it to work it is dry and has some body to it!

Well, I'm older and know the importance of moisturizers and sunscreen. :-) I love using an under eye gel in the warm weather to reduce the puffiness. I also keep it in the refrigerator.

Thanks for the opportunity to win! LOVE Olay products especially.

Now that I have 2 kids, I simplify my beauty routine by using moisturizer with sunscreen and wearing lip gloss instead of lipliner and lipstick. I still need my eye shadow and eye liner though!

I start with my yonka eye cream for puffy eyes/dark circles and leave that on while I make a big pot of coffee....quickly wash the face, apply my smashbox green-tinted face primer, concealer on the awful spots, powder, bronzer, eyeshadow and mascara. Oh...and fill in the brows so I look like I HAVE eyes. That's my bare minimum....but it realy doesn't take me much longer to contour the cheekbones, add a touch of blush, eyeliner and "fancy" shadow. Would love the opportunity to win! THANK YOU!

My rush routine is moisturizer (always), powder on the face to give some color, eyeshadow, a very quick swoop of eyeliner and mascara - put lip gloss on while I'm driving :)

I've simplified my makeup routine by switching to mineral makeup & mascara. It literally takes me 5 minutes in the morning to get ready, and with a 4 month old in tow, that's perfect! Plus, I love how light it feels on my face. I also shower at night & dry my hair then (the longest thing for me in my beauty routine), so I can just brush, straighten, or pull back & go in the morning, depending on how I'm feeling. I'm a lot less picky about what I look like these days, which is an awesome feeling. :)

Gosh, I wish I can simplify my routine. I'm 35 and trying to get to a better routine but I have a LOT of products and makeup. If all fails, a moisturizer is a must for me (with SPF)

I simplify my routine sometimes by not putting foundation on, and only putting eye-shadow, mascara, and blush on. I can usually get by with these three things.

Ugh I have the palest skin, practically an albino! So of course I have had these raccoon eyes since I was like five. So I try to put concealer under my eyes and bright eye shadow. And I do it as quickly as possible because I'm pretty much rolling out of bed and throwing on jeans, haha.

When i'm rushing, which I ALWAYS AM, I simplify my routine by using only what I need to cover any spots or blemishes and give my self a little color. Basically I let my hair air dry )after putting no frizz serum in it), apply concealer to my dark circles and any blemishes on my face, use a blush brush to apply bronzing powder on my whole face, blush my cheeks, and apply some Carmex to my very dry lips. And in about 2 minutes... Sun kissed beach bunny!

I work nights, sleep days, and often broken sleep at that. I'm never in the mood to spend much time on my routine, so luckily washing with Noxzema and moisturizing with Clinique does the trick for me!

On the rare times I go out though this might be a really nice addition to the bit of foundation and blush I use. Your review is appreciated.
