i did Cf AutoRoot and everything ok here. of course, Knox counter tripped.
download the correct file for SM-G850F from here http://autoroot.chainfire.eu/ and flash with Odin

No need. Root built in. You just need a custom recovery. Of course knox tripped on custom recovery install

Is recovery from @rutvikrvr is ok? And after his step 3, is need to flash SuperSu before ur Rom?

Yeah mate, as long as you are using the Exynos 5 Octacore 5430 version of the Galaxy Alpha.
As a kernel is installed with the rom you shouldn't have to root before or after

Go to settings>general>about device and check your device model. After that use google to see specification for that model

Example, if it's SM-G850F it's exynos for sure

Installed and all looking good. Only problem I seem to have is when I reboot the phone it forgets the WiFi password. Any ideas have to fix this would be great..

Not happend on my phone,just now i restart phone to see if this happend

Ok changed ro.securestorage.support" from "true" to "false and it now saves the WiFi password, but cant seem to connect to the Wifi at all now. I can see the Wifi press connect and nothing. No WiFi icon on the top either.

reset your device to factory settings and when it asks for logging into samsung and google accounts be sure to uncheck restore from server option in both of them(but I think the main problem is mainly with samsung).
The wifi option turns on fine now. Then not go to settings>accounts and turn on backup and restore manually for both google and samsung one by one.
