She's always been slightly panicked that the world as we know it will end, so has prepped for it, haunting survivalist pages and prepper projects she felt she needed in the event SHTF.
An avid fan of all romance, Beverly's goal is to share her love of the written word and write the hot and erotic romances that she enjoys. She writes what she loves to read and it was only a matter of time before her obsessions crept into her writing for her to share. She hopes you enjoy her tales as much as she loves writing them.
A Navy Veteran, Beverly has traveled around the world and the United States enabling her to bring her settings to life, meeting and marrying her husband along the way for her own romance. Strangely enough, while Tales of the Sandman should probably evoke the classic Andersen "Sandman" tale, Beverly Ovalle's short story reminded me more of Peter Pan, especially the poignant moment "clap if you believe in fairies!" part. I won't say why, you just have to read it to find out.
There's few people who would admit to imaginary friends while growing up, although it's more common in solitary, lonely children, and they usually disappear when the child becomes older. What's strange in Alainn's case is that her imaginary friend, a little boy, grows up with her. And while he used to bring her on fantastic adventures when they were young, their romps have turned into a more steamy, physical sort. Not that she's complaining, well, at least until she wakes up. Because her dream man is just that: a figment of her imagination.
Aryne has a great talent - he brings comfort to people through their dreams and sometimes by his healing touch. It's normal for him to give a caress (sometimes something more) while making his rounds each night. Alainn's always held his fascination, though. Perhaps she's more than just a nightly visit for him? Can there be something different, stronger, for a sandman?
This short has it all: completely formed characters, two worlds, and a scorching hot series of encounters. It's amazing what wet dreams can do out in the daytime; and so much more at night! Alainn and Aryne only connect when she's asleep so she's not really sure how much of her dreams are truth and how much would be wishful thinking because her lover truly does seem real. She's been embarrassed to be called out on daydreaming since she was a child so it's no stretch to the story that she's reluctant to admit even to herself that there could be more to her imaginings. But dreams do come true, right?
Beverly Ovalle has given a fun, erotic spin to the children's Tales of the Sandman. But gone is the slightly scary man who blows dust in your eyes and sets a dream or nightmare to play in your mind. What is here is more sexy genie than dumpy myth, someone who you would look forward to seeing in your dreams!

But when the erotic dreams start with the shadow man she begins to think she’s going insane. They seem so real! This is a delicious short story about a character I’ve never seen in all the books I’ve ever read: The Sandman. Original and hot, you won’t want to miss this tale. Can dreams really come true?
A touching and erotic story about soulmates (bondmates) and love that transcends dimensions and worlds. I thought this short novella was well written and very steamy. The characters and imagery was very descriptive and detailed. My big complaint would be that it was too short, I wish there had been more time to get to know more about each of these characters: where they came from, where they are going. This is such a fascinating and original idea for a love story, I would just love to see it enhanced in a full length novel.

Aryne has always watched over Alainn providing her with peace, companionship, love and pleasure. Fulfilling and satiating all her needs as well as filling the void in her heart. As Aryne and Alainn continue to lose themselves to each other Aryne has to make a choice between keeping his distance and making Alainn’s dreams their reality.
This is a very sensual, quick fun read. It will have all your lady parts quivering with excitement. I mean what’s not sexy about having delicious fantasies with an unknown, powerful and delectable stranger. One who is willing to do everything in his power to make you feel every carnal sensation you can imagine? Nothing absolutely nothing, yes that what’s I thought, ;). Ovalle weaves a very magical tale of dreams, desires and love. She even manages to create a world that is nothing short of majestic. Her descriptions are lucid and delightful and will have your imagination a flutter. Ovalle creates a strong bond between Aryne and Alainn and you can sense how intense their feelings are for each other as well as their fear of what might happen if they take the next step into reality. There are undertones of faith, acceptance and adoration throughout this short story and the ending will leave you smiling and sighing in contentment all at the same time. There was more to life than the eye could see, right? So, somehow this had to be real. She had faith. She believed. He had never even expected to find her. He never thought that his dreams would come true. Oh Mister Sa-a-andman, bring me a dream!! Sung in my best 'Marilyn "Happy Birthday" Monroe voice! (Be thankful I didn't really sing that! LOL) WHEW! I have had hot dreams, I mean, who hasn't, right? But NEVER have they been about The Sandman nor have they ever been THIS ama-sand-ly, THIS sanderful, THIS so sandtabulously PERFECT!! This is Aryne & Alainn's story and it is SOOOO hot I am surprised they didn't make glass!! (when sand is heated to extreme temps it forms glass - Sweet Home Alabama was good for more than just Patrick & Josh, you know! LOL) But I digress! This is one helluva story! A shorter, HOT love story with The Sandman is unique in itself, but the rich history & 'powers' of his people turn this story from a 'random' erotic short into a story that IS a story! Of course, as always, I do wish this story was longer, but it might have melted my poor tablet if it was! It is written so beautifully and with that magic that both pulls you into the story and connects you to the characters - real or dream. I would love to see this story expanded into a longer novella or full length story that would be the perfect book to kick off a series involving Aryne's families...too start! hint hint, Beverly :-) Regardless if my dreams do come true or not, this is one SANDTASTIC story that everyone should read!

I really enjoyed this book. when i seen sandman before reading blurb now I can happy say i like this sandman.. most people like me think sandman is killer all that from movie's lol. I love your kind of sandman!! This book HOT! HOT!! only if we all can make dream man come true like that.. and love the book cover too!!

This was a quick, steamy read that I enjoyed. It had a unique storyline, and I really liked the characters. I also liked that this story was different from other books that I have read, mixing up different worlds, dream visits, and the possibility of being from another realm. The steamy times were hot, and I definitely found myself engaged with the characters as they tried to understand where they belonged in their worlds. My only complaint was that I felt the story need to have more to it and the ending didn't really leave me with enough information to finish the story in my mind. I know this is only a novella, but again, I would have just liked to have had a little bit more! All in all I give this book 3.5 "I just wanted a little bit more" stars.

I just finished Touched by the Sandman and I really liked it. It's short, maybe took 30 mins to read but I enjoyed it. Aryne is a guide. His job was to bring sweet, peaceful dreams. His comes to Alainn to help her through her dreams. What he didn't expect was to want her so much. But the problem is just he can only be with her in her dreams. Or can't he? You just have to read and see.
This was short yet sweet and sexy. It had a good plot. An original plot that I had heard in awhile. Like how the author put her spin on the sandman story. It had good characters and of course hot sexy scenes.

Another erotic paranormal read for me. I have to say this wasn't a disappointment either. It's a totally different genre for me to get used to reading, but I enjoyed it. This book is about two individuals stuck in two different worlds and their desire to come together.
For as short as the story was, it developed quickly. The plot didn't seem rushed, but I wish the female lead character was a bit more developed. It honestly didn't take anything away from the story, it's just something that I prefer.
If it tells you anything, I read this story in the span of a few hours. It was an easy read, that left me smiling in the end. While this is a stand-alone story, I was left wondering whether or not we would get more of the lead characters story in a second book.

This is a 2 person POV story well that's what it felt like. Man this paranormal story was amazing it was nothing like I have read before very different from the vampires, werewolves, and fairies that's for sure. Although I really enjoyed the story I had the song from Metallica stuck in my head all day you know the one were they sing about the Sandman and gripping your pillow tight. Really helped with this story hmmm. This being my first story from this author was amazing and I can't wait to read more from her.

A very short and quick read that takes you into the world of dreams. Two people living into vastly different worlds, connects each night while Alainn is sleeping.
A story of long suppressing desires that can only be fulfilled with a special bondmate. When they finally met, Aryne will stop at nothing to bring her back in his world.
Very creative writing with a well crafted plot, filled with passion and desire as we get to know these two characters. Making this an interesting read.

So this is a fast read and well worth it. I enjoyed the story line it was different and not expected at all. The only real issue I had is I was finished it before I wanted it to end. For a novella is was a good read . The characters are well written . The story line is fantastic and cant be faulted. It really is a shame that the book isnt longer I feel it wpuld have made an amazing full length novel. Who can go wrong with the dream man who isnt really in just them? . I highly recommend this novella .

Touched by the sandman by Beverly Ovalee. ..... great short story but it leaves you wanting more. The only thing I didn't like is it left at a part that leaves you wondering what happened. Aliann knows the man that comes to her in her dreams is real. The next morning she feels wonderful . Maybe if she believes he may just become real. I give this a 3.5 fang review only because it doesn't finish the story.

This is a hot, steamy, paranormal, supernatural read that really thrilled me. There were some issues that could have been fixed in a longer novel. Because it is only 34 pages long there isn't that much character development and I am much more interested in the back story of the Sandman as well as some of the other issues that I wanted more history of. Either way though it was a good little read, what I expected.

Looking for something to get your imagination going, then this will do the trick. Its a quick steamy read that I wished had a bit more to it but definitely worth the read . I like the idea of having soul mates (bondmates) that transcend not only time, but worlds and dimensions.
