Here's a mystery Logan police are keen to solve.

Over the past two weeks a number of drain and telecommunication pit covers (commonly called "manhole" covers) have been stolen from streets in Park Ridge, Chambers Flat and Crestmead.

Police say removing the covers poses a significant risk to the public, as the shafts they cover are up to four metres deep.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
