Earlier today actress and incredibly beautiful person Angelina Jolie talked to George Stephanopoulos about her upcoming film Maleficent, paint ball weddings, and whether she would ever run for office. Because, why not?

Apparently the Good Morning America host asked the ELLE cover star the question back in 2005, but she said she probably wasn't a good candidate because her hair is full of secrets her hair is full of skeletons. Okay, she didn't say hair, she just said "no, no, I have way too many skeletons."

Today, Stephanopoulos followed up, asking if nine years later, she would reconsider the idea of running for office. "I wonder if by now if my skeletons are out. They're probably all out," Jolie responded. "You know, if I thought I'd be effective, I would. But I'm not sure if I would ever be taken seriously in that way, and be able to be effective."

Several news outlets jumped on the fact that she didn't totally nix the idea altogether, but it seems rather unlikely that Jolie will follow the Schwarzenegger/Eastwood/Reagan path and run for office any time soon. Though we're not quite ready to endorse the actress for a 2016 run, we do think she underestimates herself. As a humanitarian, advocate for women, and role model, Jolie has been effective indeed. From her work with Unicef to the op-ed column she wrote about undergoing a double mastectomy last year, Jolie has had a major impact on women all over the world. And we take that pretty seriously.
