It is not the first time Azealia has criticised the 23-year-old singer, dubbing him a 'curry scented b***h' in a foul-mouthed rant earlier this year.

She wrote on Twitter at the time: 'Keeping sucking this young rapunxel d**k u hairy curry scented b***h.

'Imma start calling you punjab you dirty b***h. You a d**k rider for real. Ride this d**k until the wheels fall off Punjab (sic).'

Meanwhile, the singer previously revealed she was quitting Facebook as she doesn't want to be 'monitored'.

She wrote at the time: 'I'm seriously tired of peoples feelings. I'm tired of seeing their overly sensitive reactions and responses to everything.

'I'm tired of having everything I say or do be monitored and I'm tired of being told how I should be behaving.

'I'm quitting Facebook, and any other form of social media that allows me to engage with people. My legacy can't live and die on the Internet. Goodbye. For good. (sic)'

Azealia also recently claimed she is 'deeply misunderstood'.

She added: 'I feel deeply misunderstood. I feel cheated, I feel stolen from. I feel though as I've made and am making such huge contributions to the times, as far as music and the national conversation go, only to be shoved into a corner and punished while I watch my ideas and insight get paraphrased and repackaged by everyone.'

Zayn is not the only music star that has come under attack from Azealia; Iggy Azalea, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift have also been criticised.

The outspoken singer also caused controversy recently when she admitted to skin bleaching and defended her decision.

Filming herself for a Facebook Live - entitled 'Skin lightening' - she began: 'I don't think it's important to discuss the cultural significance of skin bleaching anymore.

'As a black person in this world you assimilate. There are things you accept. This has become the norm because it's happening all the time.'

She went on to ask: 'What's the difference between getting a nose job and changing your skin colour?'

'Nobody was upset when I was wearing 30-inch weaves and tearing out my edges and doing all that type of sh*t like that. You guys loved it.'

She also added, during the nearly 20-minute long clip: 'I guess people look at the skin lightning, bleaching thing as something different... as another assimilation thing.

'It's a continuation of the falsification of self with being a black person in America.'

'To say it negates anything I've said about the current situation of blackness in America is ignorant and stupid. What do body modifications have to do with somebody's level of intellect? The two don't correlate.'
