Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Interesting. The two cables show no difference when measuring frequency response. I measured it when I did my Nova review. I wouldn't expect them to either - both are SPC.

I know we've had a chat about this before :)

But have you given them a listen? :) I did not measure them so I will not go there, but I definitely hear that difference. I've tried multiple times, and I let my Brother (who isn't so much into audio) try them too without telling him what I heard and he sort of gave the same impressions.

Don't want to get into any sort of argument here, just sharing my experiences like everyone else. I the situation allows for it give it a shot! And whatever you hear, I won't dispute :)

All these Campfire love makes me wonder if there'll ever be anyone that sell the Orion as I really want to see how their sounds are in general. The only unit I've tried was the Campfire Lyra.

And truth to be told I never hear such a beautiful dynamic IEM since Dita Answer, both have their unique type of sound but I find the Lyra to be more resolving to my ears.

I really like the sound of it, but unfortunately I lack the budget for it. =(

I don't think there's anyone in Malaysia or Singapore that sell the Orion as I live in Malaysia, the only show I know sell the Campfire line up, but starting from Nova only, which is again, a shame as I couldn't afford it...

Does anyone here know that there's anyone selling the Orion at least? Thank you. =)
there is a shop in Singapore sell campfire it's connect IT I have went there and try a few of the campfire http://www.connect-it.com.sg/amplifiers.html

I always listen - then I measure to confirm what I'm hearing. All I'm saying is that with the Nova there was no audible or measurable difference between the two. When I get the Andromeda I'll repeat the same exercise.

So, when you measured them, they were the same length?

This is probably the worst thing to ever happen to me with IEMs. While using foam tips, I went to take the IEMS out, and the Andromeda stem and tips come off the IEM housing and were stuck in my ear. I'm doubting there is a DIY way to fix this.

Hmm looks to me as Campfire Audio were prepared for Apples iphone 7 announcement and you now have some suitable wireless earphones!

*jokes aside- contact Campfire Audio- they have great customer service.

That is worrying. The second case of that happening I've seen here.

No offense, please; but we have heard of two such failures. If we are conservative and state that Campfire has made 1000 units, then we are looking at a failure rate of 0.2%.

I also know that Campfire has probably produced well over 1000 units; and other failures are not reported on this site. I would take a 99.8% success rate in pretty much any business that doesn't produce life-saving items.

Someone's top of the line iems broke through no fault of his own, and you joke about it. Not cool.

I want to chime in here with some thoughts, in no specific order....

Given that posts can much more easily be misunderstood than face-to-face verbal communication, I did not find that he was joking about it.  I interpreted it to be a cautionary claim about what and how one posts about products and manufacturers on this or any similar site.  While no one wants a defective product-incluoding the sellers and builders of such products, it must also be recognized that what one "says on the internet" has consequences.  Peeople ARE responsible for the consequences of their acts.  (For example, the post presenting the pix of the de-nozzled iems may show up in casual web searches, and, overall, paint a potentially inaccurate picture of the iem's quality, and any subsequent efforts on the part of the vendor or maker to make it right.  This can cause harm to legitimate, quality businesses.  Just sayin'.)

I really feel for the person whose Andromedas broke. While it is uselful for consumers to know of such events, it is also primarily a private matter between the customer and the seller.  The post showing the damage does not indicate whether they were purchased new from an authorized dealer, There is no mention of whether he has contacted ALO/Campfire to get them repaired or replaced......
