Firefighters from the York Fire Department traveled to Haverhill, Massachusetts, on Sunday to help fight a 7-alarm fire at an abandoned mill.The department sent its SMART truck, which provides lighting, food and other support services.The fire broke out in the mill building at 2 Stevens St. just after 5 p.m.Smoke could be seen from miles away, including Boston some 20 miles by air from the fire.The state fire marshal also responded to the blaze.No injuries have been reported.
