La Vie en Rose

A biopic about the legendary international singing icon Edith Piaf, whose voice and talent captivated the world. The remarkable artist was born in the gutter, but survived using the only gift she had – her voice. Piaf's tragic life was a constant battle to sing and survive, to live and love, with no regrets. Marion Cotillard, unrecognisable with her shaved hairline and eyebrows, gives a once-in-a-lifetime performance as "La Môme" (the kid), and was rightly awarded the Oscar for Best Actress in 2008.
