This is a page to raise funds to help save my dog Simba. Simba was 15 months old when he was taken, so just a puppy! He was seized by the police on 3rd December 2015 due to him getting into a neighbour's back garden a few times. (Measures had been taken to stop this but Simba was very curious!) The local dog warden came to visit after this and whilst he was in my home, he was nipped on the hand by Simba, leaving a very slight red mark. Simba is house trained but on entering the room and seeing the dog warden, Simba stood and wet himself out of fear. I believe Simba sensed my own anxiousness about the whole situation and this is what caused him to nip. Simba was assessed by an independent expert, in the kennels where he is being kept. The assessment went brilliantly and the expert stated that she does not believe Simba would pose a danger to the public. Since Simba was seized, I have attended Magistrates courts several times and the outcome was that Simba was ordered to be destroyed under the Dangerous Dogs Act. I appealed this decision and then attended the Crown court on the 5th August. I was told by the judge that the destruction order would be upheld and was absolutely heartbroken. I have since found solicitors that are prepared to take on the case and apply for a Judicial Review. The total cost of a Judicial hearing is going to be up to £10,000 but £2,700 will enable me to get the process started. I am asking for help from everybody to make this possible, as this is my last shot at trying to save Simba! If everybody could even just donate £1, it will make a huge difference!
