Nokia Stores Now Rebranded as Microsoft Priority Stores

Ever since the 7 Billion USD acquisition took place of Microsoft taking over Nokia mobile segment, the firm is proceeding to sustain its new image and already started branding for the same. Starting from Wednesday, Microsoft has opened up its very first authorized reseller store in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The rebranding of the Nokia Priority store will now be known as “Microsoft Authorized Resellers”, carrying the similar reputation. Rebranding of the stores also consist of Nokia retail stores and care centers.

At the opening ceremony of Chennai located store, TS Sridhar, Nokia India Sales Director-South says, “We are launching the first Microsoft Priority Reseller Store in Chennai today. In India itself it is a big change for us, which we are trying to offer as part of the, Microsoft experience is concerned. So in country there are 441 Microsoft Priority Reseller Store and 8,872 mobile reseller stores. And what we are planning to make shift to the Microsoft brand. So all this are very big transformation and journey which we are trying to offer to the consumer, when he visits a Microsoft store.

Rebranding of Nokia Stores into Microsoft Authorized reseller will help the customers to get engaged with a wide range of Microsoft products as well, mainly comprises of Xbox, Surface, Microsoft Office 365, latest software and off course Lumia phones. It is nowhere less than a kind of rebirth of Nokia stores carrying a rebranding name of Microsoft.

After Microsoft’s rebranding in India, the list accompanies of Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, France, Germany, Italy and Russia. The firm has also given an explanation over the rebranding stores, “These stores will be part of the Microsoft ecosystem and provide an aesthetic that aligns with our core brand values and encourages engagement and interaction with our products”.
