Employment: Full Time

General Description:
Guiding and directing the Motor Department, supervising all the works related to the Motor Department, proposing the goals and plans, supervising the development of business, fixing rates, approving the insurance policies and their addenda as per the authorities, dealing with motor accidents, payment of claims, follow up of recovery from individuals, companies and court verdicts in favor of the company, develop the motor insurance performance, coordinate with the concerned organizational units such as the production department to market and develop the department's products as per the needs of customers and nature of competition, participate in amending the principles of reinsurance agreements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Propose the executive "operational" goals and plans to develop and market motor insurance products and follow up their execution under the framework of the approved strategic goals and plans.
- Supervise the motor insurance performance, compare the achievements with the goals and criteria laid down and work to develop and enhance this performance.
- Fix the prices and put them in a schedule for the purpose of facilitating the marketing process, implementation and follow up
of the technical loss rates for the purpose of amending the conditions and prices.
- Supervise the development of motor insurance policies, prepare specific conditions and benefits for each policy and its additional coverage addenda, including the issuance of the orange card to cover motor insurance outside Kuwait.
- Approve insurance policies, addenda, amendments and their cancellation, as well as the credit and debit advises issued within the limit of the approved authorities.
- Direct and approve inspection procedures, estimate the damages concerned with the motor insurance claims as per the applicable rules, settle and pay compensations, follow up their recovery and approval within the limits of the authorities.
- Review the legal memoranda concerned with motor compensation and cases, participate in the assessment and approval of disbursement of compensations through the concerned committee.
Select the garages, monitor their performance, carry out field visits, examine customer complaints, control compensation claims submitted directly or claims submitted through insurance agencies.
- Participate in the committee for sale of salvaged motors, as well as approve amicable settlements in cases of recovery, within the limits of the authorities.
- Conducting the required marketing studies to identify development requirements in the motor insurance field and future of such development to benefit from the same in development the products and services offered.
- Direct the training and development process of motor insurance personnel, follow up their performance evaluation.
- Verifying the implementation of the company decrees and circulars, compliance with the approved policies, rules, systems and procedures.
- Submit proposals supported by statistics to amend motor reinsurance agreements and their terms.
- Coordinate with the production department to develop and market motor insurance products, follow up their implementation, evaluation of their results, participate in the expansion plans, development of relations with motor agencies.
- Ensure the optimum use of available information technology at work, as well as use the internet to market motor insurance services, communication and performance of works.
- Attend meetings of the concerned committees inside and outside the company.
- Prepare periodical reports on the achievements, developments and hurdles, and submit them to the senior management, comprising recommendations and how to overcome the hurdles, develop business and achieve goals.
- Undertake any other tasks related to the job.

Requirements

Job requirements:
- Academic qualifications: suitable university degree.
- Practical experience: 12 years experience in the motor insurance field.
- Skills and knowledge: fluency of both Arabic and English languages.
