When Jackson Montgomery and Miranda Stuart are partnered up during the company Team Building weekend, neither of them could be less thrilled. Out in the middle of a forest, paint-ball guns in hand, the duo set off to “take down” their peers. Yet in the process, they wander off course, and when they set off to find their way back, they run across a fairy ring, and temptation.

Things aren’t always what they appear and when these “frenemies” are pulled into a nightmare, can they put aside their differences and escape?

Oh wow!! This was excellent! It had me right from the start with Miranda and jack as teammates on a work related moral booster in the forest with paint guns and B*tchn to each other (that interacting was a lot of fun and entertaining by itself BTW) til they come across a clearing with mushrooms and something glittering in the middle.... I didn't know what was gonna happen so what came next was a surprise... and I LOVED IT!! Congrats to the author for writing this compelling short story! I love the twist ending too ;) ... awesome read!

For a short story that is only like 7 pages long this thing packs a punch. Sadly I knew what was going to happen the minute the fairy circle showed up, but it was really interesting how S.L. wrote the remaining part. In those pages, you learn to hate a character, like a character, and shudder when the finality hits both of them. It was really her own fault, but who am I to tell a character that she is dumb.

What a great short read by S.L. I swear, she could re-write the phone book and would have me hooked. Just like in her other books, there is a surprise (twist) to this one as well. Maybe we should listen to the old tales that our grannies tell us?

An enjoyable afternoon short

Quite amusing to get lost in for a few minutes. Love the imagination in it. Would be curious for a full length story of this.

Jack and Miranda are basically coworkers.. and they were on a Company Paintball Game in the woods. Of course Jack and Miranda seemed like they really didn't like each other. Trying to find their way out, going back the way they came, Jack came across toadstools.. Miranda saw something shiny at edge of it. But didn't pick it up, but as Jack went to pick it up, he ended up stepping in the ring of toadstools and started to fall through, but first he grabbed a hold of Miranda.

When they reached the end of the fall, which they landed in another forest, with a table full of food, Miranda went right for it. Jack explained to her, that they fell through a Fairy Ring and told her how his Grandmother told him," if you eat the food, the fairies will never let you leave."

They met a Fairy named Trem, and he told both Miranda and Jack, that the food was for them, that they (Trem and his friends) don't eat the food.

What do you think Trem and the Fairies (Sprites) eat?? You'll have to read it

Who wouldn't want a taste of some freaky fairies? Some things are just to enticing to pass up, but just because it is tempting, shouldn't you maybe think twice?

Every time I open an S.L. Dearing book, I learn something new and do NOT intend to fall in to that trap! lol

This Paranormal horror short story gave me the right amount of chills and fright. I couldn't of asked for a better thrill on Halloween.

True Fodder by SL Dearing is a swift magical escape.

This is an enjoyable read with many surprises. Not all is as it seems. It's a spunky story that I read with gusto, wanting to find out what would happen on this team building weekend.

There are great visuals, laugh out loud dialog and a unique storyline. So fun!
