There is a lot of information in this book beginning with some background to the iPad and its changes as it developed to the iPad 3. I don't use my iPad to its full potential which is what drew me to this book.

There is loads of information in this book including the "jailbreaking" chapters as well. This was very well described, outlining the pros and cons of doing this with your iPad including the recommendations about which parts should be attempted by the user and which to be handed over to the professionals who know what they are doing (assuming the user does not fall into that category). Great resource.

This book is thorough and well-written. I want to give it 4 stars (and it probably deserves a higher rating), but I am a visual learner and as I was reading the text, I often wished that there were more pictures and diagrams for elucidation and entertainment.

To be fair though, I should note that the text is not overly dry or boring, and the author has thoughtfully included tips, helpful hints and a glossary at the end.

It just needs more pics!

On the basis of reading this book, I have finally decided what I would like this Christmas as a present from the family. I have been in two minds as to whether to opt for a laptop or the new IPad.
