A buddy of mine helped me put this together, but we decided it would be good to get some more feedback. It will primarily be running Plex Media Server, transcoding for 1-3 people at the same time and running the standard Usenet applications (Sab, Sonarr, Couch. Maybe an Indexer?).
- Motherboard + CPU - ASRock C2550D4l Mini ITX
- Memory - Crucial 16GB DDR3 1600 ECC
- PSU - Corsair CS450M
I have a mixed bag of drives (4) on hand that I will be installing as well (under a aufs + SnapRAID set up). I'm not really sure about PSU's or what to go with, but I want to stay a bit flexible for future growth with more hard drives. And to me, 16gb is an excessive amount of memory, but I'm not entirely sure.
Ultimately, I'm not attached to anything listed, as others else where have suggested skipping this board/cpu combo completely. But the thing is pretty attractive. I've been doing various NAS/HTPC configurations for the past 4-5 years with the hardware I'm on now, and I'm really looking to settle into a good set up!
