Megan Fox opens up about how she got sacked from Transformers

Cast your mind back to 2009 when Megan Fox was dramatically dropped from the cast of Transformers 3, only to be replaced by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Her shock exit came about soon after Megan said of the film’s director, Michael Bay in an interview with Wonderland magazine, “He wants to create this insane, infamous madman reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is.” Eek.

Now, Megan, who covers the February issue of Cosmopolitan, has revealed what it felt like to be fired that publicly.

“That was absolutely the low point of my career,” Megan admits. “But without – ‘that thing’, I wouldn’t have learned as quickly as I did. All I had to do was apologise - and I refused. I was so self-righteous at 23, I couldn’t see [that] it was for the greater good. I really thought I was Joan of Arc.”

In 2011, when the film was released, GQ magazine quoted James as saying, “You know the Hitler thing? Steven (Spielberg) said, ‘fire her right now.’”

She adds, “It hurt me and a lot of other people. However, that darkness that descended caused enormous and brisk spiritual growth. Once I realised I [had] brought it on myself, it was an invaluable learning experience, looking back on it.”

Megan is known for being outspoken. Previously, she has also spoken of her bisexuality, overactive libido and in 2008 famously said, “fuck Disney” in defence of Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens. At the time, both the Disney stars had issued public apologies after Miley posed semi-nude for a magazine and personal photographs were leaked of Vanessa.
